    SOOO GOOOD

    thanks for this mix, bryan!

  2. Farrell Fawcett says:

I second that. Love it. Really great mix to be out running to in NY tonight. Funny that this mix didn’t bubble up while you were writing the Television book. But I guess it still makes sense now since your new book project has you immersed in the same era. This sounds like a mix tape from NY’s downtown scene in the late 1970s. Funny that so many of the new bands are still making those same kinds of songs. Hopefully some of the new kids will always be making these kinds of songs.

We are listening to this in the actual now.

  4. Bryan says:

1., 2., & 3.: Thanks for listening! I hope it comes in handy in some way as the long wkend wends its way. I’ve been using it to write but I’d like to take it on a run as well. And play it really loud with friends.

2.: It’s funny that you say that about the MM book — but a good 1/2 of these songs were released *after* that book. I did make a kickass mix of songs related to the book though, including a lot of recommendations by key players: here.

  5. Bryan says:

And can I just say, I’ve listened to FF’s last two mixes SO MUCH the last while. And listening to the late night one now, because here it’s, well, late at night.
