I can’t tell what it says either, for the most part. What interested me most about the sign is its resemblance to a palimpsest. All those layers of history overwriting each other. It looked like the building was going to be leveled or renovated, too. It was fenced off. I hope they saved the sign.
The framing was unintentional; I took the photo with my phone, and that’s all that I could fit. I like, though, that it does resemble the shape of the state in which the image was taken.
