This spawns the co-option and postmodernization of &quot;going green.&quot;  We wind up buying hybrid vehicles (some of which boasting an astonishing 25 MPG), wearing cheap cotton clothing silk-screened with &quot;green&quot; phrases and logos (the irony being that the production, shipping, and laundering of inexpensive cotton clothing is a major culprate in global warming, and elect politicians who continue to espouse the myth of “clean coal” technologies.</description>
