He’s beautiful! Excellent work! And congratulations to you and family.

What a great way to come out of retirement, Mr Waterman. Love to you and the SSW.
Thanks, friends. This morning he looks somewhere right between his two sisters — golden hair, but not as whitish and wispy as Molly; heavier like Anna, but not nearly as dark. His little body looks like A, though.
Not sure this is really coming out of retirement, Scott, but I’m happy to take suggestions for Charlie’s tattoo. I’ve been leaning toward a rooster, but Pandora also made a lovely quilt that incorporates lucky boy Japanese carps …
His middle name comes from a sailor/whaler/South Seas missionary ancestor, so something nautical may be appropriate.
Isn’t he just a little young for a tattoo?
Congratulations, Bryan and Stephanie! He’s a beauty.
For someone named “Charlie” I’m thinking the proper tattoo would be a golden ticket.
6. or a Darwin fish.
4. In this economy you can’t plan too far ahead.
5. Many thanks!
Yay! So exciting! Can’t wait to meet the little man. Perhaps he’ll bite my finger … and it’ll really hurt, Chollie!
Congrats, BW and SSW. Really happy for you all.
We’ve been quoting that clip to one another for months! Thanks, LP.
Unlce Marleyfan would love to show a little UncleLove to Charlie Addison Smith Waterman, and welcome him to The Great Whatsit (the only website I still read daily). I am so jealous, because my parents just left yesterday to go see Charlie and the other Waterman’s,and I wish I could have gone with them. I’ve asked Dave to add a photo or two, in addition to the pictures found on the “other” website.
Charlie, I can’t wait to meet you in-person….
And as for the tattoo- Dave, I’m home.
Hooray for Uncle Love. Thanks, Marley, for the shout out. I’m sure the kid will appreciate it someday when he scrolls through his digital scrapbook. As for tattoo idea … “Charlie, I’m home” would probably be more appropriate for the next long while!
P.S. Thanks, editor, for honoring proud uncle requests. I suppose it would all be so much easier if I just gave in and did Facebook.
man, look at that brow. when he decides to furrow it . . . watch out . . .
My god, he looks like he’s going to be a doctor! Or a musician! You can just tell.
Does everyone in your family have to be so dang beautiful???
Congratulations.
13. The only time he’s furrowed it so far is when someone talked smack about his favorite singer, David Bowie. So watch out.
(By the way, can anything top Hunky Dory as the best album ever for dancing and singing with a newborn?)
14. We’re starting piano lessons next week. Law school the week after.
15. Rach — many people in our house love you, and not just for that comment.
14. and 16. (reference 14.) . . . wait for it . . . , we’re, . . . , . . . going private school!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Was that an announcement re: J?
16: re Hunky Dory: Of course, “Kooks”!!
HOLY SHIZZZ, congratulations!! I was just..randomly poking around the site..and then…A BABY POPPED OUT and I’m all like “Whoooaaa.” Aw. :)
