  1. My favorite bar name (the bar is no longer open, and was not a particularly good bar when it was open, but it had a great name) was “New York’s Corner of Walk and Don’t Walk”, at Mercer and Bleeker.

  2. Curs’d memory! Now I think it was at Bleeker and LaGuardia or possibly Thompson.

There’s a great vintage Budweiser sign at a bar in LA where J-Man sometimes plays music. It rotates slowly among different backlit wintry scenes, with cascading lights serving as running spring water or what have you. Couldn’t find a photo, but it’s hypnotic. Esp. set to J-Man’s fabulous tunes.

Thanks for the shout-out, Parrish! Yeah, I tried to find a photo of that thing – I had no luck either. It really is hypnotic.

  5. I find it curious that someone has a Closed sign in neon. Open signs are common, but… where’d you find the Closed sign, Lane?

    I love neon signs!

Kate, you have an interesting point. usually, dark means closed, and lit means open.
