  1. Beautiful sky-color. Are you using a filter?

I wandered into this place once and was shown the door immediately. They could tell I wasn’t PSFC material by just glancing at me.

Maybe it’s just my mindset, but upon first glance, I thought the sign said “Poop Coop.”

  5. Is it just me, or is there a sort of irony that the all-natural, wonder-resource store has flourescent lights as its sign?

  6. fluorescent lights

    Pretty sure those are neon.

  7. WOW thanks everyone. I really didn’t know if this would spark it with anyone.

Yeah “The People’s Republic of the Park Slope Food Cult”

One of the receiving coordinators once said to me “People come in here from other cities asking how they can replicate this place in their town. We always tell them forget it, you never will. The whole thing is a giant mistake. It shouldn’t have ever happened.”

What he means is the precise conditions of Park Slope Brooklyn in 1972 are non-repeatable. I don’t care what anyone in NYC says about Park Slope “just like the suburbs” (My Ass!)

This little ‘hood and that crazy little grocery store are an authentic utopia.

    Sublime indeed.

Thanks, Lane. I really like that you are breaking this new “Monday Feature” rule. Love the pic!

It looked like “Poop Coop” to me, too.
