A list of lists:
Leftob has an audio stream of really nice minimal/ambient stuff from all over the web.
Music to Play in the Dark is a lovely podcast of dark ambient and other experimental stuff.
This is a thread on the monome.org discussion board where various monome artists give the coordinates of their soundcloud streams. There’s a whole album of Dirty Projectors remixes to be found in there, among other things.
This calendar lists new music events in New York. I make it to less than 0.1% of what’s on here, I’d guess.
And just because it’s so awesome, here’s a video that Sifu Tweety linked in an Unfogged thread the other day.

The author of Thru You, Israeli DJ Kutiman, also has some good work that is not YouTube related. This review at Pitchfork has streams for some of his first record: http://www.pitchforkmedia.com/reviews/albums/11159-kutiman/
Looks like New York has some cool events…not that I ever really doubted that.
Sonic Living is also a good site to get into if you’re looking to be kept up to date on when your fav bands, and ‘similar’ artists are playing in your city. This service works by reading your iTunes library and then matching it against it’s own database of known artists and their touring schedules. It also has a social component so it will recommend shows that your friends are attending, etc. Pretty cool. Site here: http://sonicliving.com/
