I wanna know what’s in store (NWBW 2012 MIX)

Methodology: Nathan and I sat down the other night to make a mix. We played songs for each other Record Club–style, one track in response to the previous one, no intros or disclaimers. The only guideline was that the songs had to be released in 2012 and we knew we were sticking to 20. What results is a peculiar kind of “best of” mix: tracks that obviously had an impact on one of us over the course of the last year, but a mix whose organizing principle is something other than a ranking of top songs that have no relation to one another or songs culled from our favorite albums. Some of these may fall into those categories as well, but we aimed to craft a mix as we went and as a result of that — and the conversation between our similar but not identical tastes — I think I like this playlist a lot more than the one I had been crafting of my own 2012 favorites. Enjoy.

Oh man, I really want to download this, but the links are giving me an error message. Can you try a different service, maybe? Thanks! It looks awesome.

Sorry, links should be working now!

Oh wow! I neglect TGW for a few days, and suddenly there’s all this music to dl and absorb. Also, I need to knuckle down and do my own mix. Mustn’t grumble! Thanks for this.
