No amount of preparation could have prepared me for the absolute joy and love this video inspired in me; no amount of fanfare or glamour could have topped the celebration it so purely embodies. I pledge allegiance to the whatsit nation and raise my torch to Trixie Liberty. Makes me a little jingoistic.
well thanks to you all for such nice comments.
bryan, to answer your question, i do regret to say that this post is not an indication that i will be posting regularly on thursdays. this was a special performance, one night only.
also, brooke will be removing the movie from youtube soon, so it will live on only in our memories.
hope everyone had an excellent 4th of july.
ours ended with a two hour long dance party to some of our favorite tunes.
TGW loves to dance!

Trixie,
You rock!!! I wanna come dance with you!
trix — you make me feel downright patriotic. i wish i had been there this year — you guys grill a mean 4th of july BBQ.
it’s also nice to have you back on thursdays. will this become a regular thing again?

Ooo, Thursday song-and-dance!
So since this is an open thread, I’m going to link to this little ditty about the Libby pardon, even though it probably belongs in Tim’s thread.
Wonderful. Trixie, you’re so cute.
All of the sudden I’m feeling xenophobic.
Trixie,
You can’t see me but I have a lighter in the air . . .
great song, great rendition, and damn it, great holiday!
I love that you can hear Farrell chuckling and sighing with glee from behind the camera. Great routine!
Speaking of art and politics, here’s an article from the LA Times about Mike Gravel’s recent YouTube campaign ads. Amazing.
i love trixie! (by the way, you can see brooke giggling in the background there, too…)
