It was that night we went of Afghan food on St. Marks. Chris Moore is there on the right talking to Dave and Cedric.

Nice post Wendy, kind of melencholy.

  3. Dave says:

Loved this. It will come in handy in the sweltering months ahead. I remember seeing those goddamn Christo gates on the coldest day of the year.

But may I note in the kindest way possible that you all now have a perfect demonstration of why you should resize your photos before posting them to the blog! Large file sizes take a long time to load and can try the patience of even the least ADHD among us.

  4. Dave Moody says:

However, Dave, the beauty of this for the most ADHD among us is the payoff: it’s all pictures. This was super — it really made me wish I could take good photos. And then arrange them to create a narrative thread. Alas . . .

Where was I? Oh yes, Farrell, do you think this could count as a whole post? Because then I could really feel part of The Great Whatsit community.

  5. G-Lock says:

Oh, Moody, if you only knew how intricately part of The Great Whatsit community you truly are….

As someone whose dream of leaving the land of sun and fun has recently been ramped up a notch or two, your depictions of winter wonderlands makes my heart ache even more. Your post captures the somber beauty of wintertime – the way sounds are muffled by winter coats and scarves, rolled-up car windows, and the snow under foot. Thanks.
