      E.!

      Emma Watson?

    2. Rachel says:

Hey, she turned 18 TWO YEARS AGO. Totally okay. Maybe.

    3. Josh K-sky says:

did I first read about girls in headphones here?

    4. Josh K-sky says:

enjoying this mix, btw. Not a single artist I’ve heard of, unless Ben Jorge is the guy who got ripped off by “Do Ya Think I’m Sexy.”

    5. E. Tan says:

Dude, she’s totally old enough to be listening to this mix. She feels it. Deeply.

Shout out to my listening sources: wfmu, Mississippi records, root strata.

Shout out to my listening sources: wfmu, Mississippi records, root strata, water fronts, gutter bowling alley, golf land / sun splash.

    7. E. Tan says:

Oops double post. Had to add the last 3 sources.

    8. Dave says:

K-sky, tell me you knew Spacemen 3 already. And Neu!?

Nate! Thank you for pinch-hitting for me today. I really like this mix and the mellow vibe it has (at least after the first track) and how it feels like such good music for a summer night. It probably skews my critical objectivity that I got to hear all these songs in the context of you playing them in our kitchen over the past two beautiful summer nights. It was really fun talking about these songs and what you love about them. If you feel the spirit, you should share a few more details about them. And yes, Dave, E-tan did know Spacemen 3 and Neu! (we talked at length about them)–i think he just hadn’t come across these tracks until recently. Correct? Sadly there were 10-12 other great songs that didn’t make this mix since Nate was trying to set a mood. Maybe song material for another Thursday? Regardless, It’s super nice to have a laid-back mix like this for the summer. Thanks again!

I was asking about K-sky’s knowledge of the bands, not Mr. Tan’s. Mr. Tan of course knew the bands.

    11. Stella says:

      Etan is back!

    12. Tim says:

Very nice mix! That Patrice Rushen song really brought back the memories for me. It’s been years since I have heard it.
